How to bridge to Optimism
Optimism is a low-fee Ethereum L2 with an established ecosystem. From Ethereum or another L2, all four providers quote the route: LI.FI, Relay, deBridge and Squid.
The table shows the exact amount that arrives on Optimism, the estimated time and the fees per route, our 0.08% commission already inside the figure.
If your funds are already on an L2 such as Base or Arbitrum, a direct route to Optimism is usually cheaper than routing up through Ethereum mainnet and back down. Optimism pays gas in ETH, so the ETH you bring covers activity once you arrive.
You sign from your own wallet on both ends. Funds never pass through us. Your wallet, your funds.
Questions
- Is Optimism cheaper than Ethereum to use?
- Yes. A swap on Optimism costs a small fraction of Ethereum mainnet gas, which is the reason to bridge there in the first place.
- Can I bridge from Base straight to Optimism?
- Yes, and the direct L2 to L2 route is usually cheaper than going through Ethereum. Compare it on the Base to Optimism page.
